Three ways to write a Telegram or WhatsApp chat story

Textelling creates simulated conversations, without sending real Telegram or WhatsApp messages. Start from the Telegram iPhone or WhatsApp Android demo and replace the sample text. These style simulations are not affiliated with the messenger services.

Workflow 1: a Telegram punchline as a still image

Use a two-message joke that works when both lines are visible together. Give the contact a clear name, put the setup in their message and the punchline in your reply. The goal is a readable single frame, so a long pause is unnecessary.

  1. Open Telegram iPhone and replace the contact name with Maya.
  2. Replace the sample messages with the two lines below and assign the correct speaker.
  3. Preview both replies, then export PNG and inspect whether the complete joke fits the image.

Maya: Did you bring something for the picnic?

You: An excellent appetite.

Workflow 2: a WhatsApp invitation with clear details

For an invitation, prioritize the place, time and reply over suspense. Use short lines that fit the mobile layout. This is a fictional invitation graphic; Textelling does not deliver it to contacts. After export, you decide where to use the downloaded file.

  1. Open WhatsApp Android and change the contact name to Alex.
  2. Enter the invitation and confirmation below. Check that the header and message authors agree.
  3. Preview the full exchange. Export PNG for a static invitation, then open it to verify the time and place.

Alex: Saturday at 7, at the garden café?

You: Perfect. I'll bring the birthday cake.

Workflow 3: a surprise revealed during playback

A reveal works as a video when the audience reads the setup before the final message appears. Use separate messages rather than one paragraph, then adjust timing in the editor and preview it. Keep the complete Free video within 90 seconds and retain its watermark.

  1. Choose either supported demo, then enter the three messages below.
  2. Place a readable pause before the final reply. Preview from the start and check the ending remains visible long enough.
  3. Use Export MP4, wait for the download and watch the complete file before sharing it yourself.

Sam: Why is everyone whispering?

You: We were trying to keep a secret.

You: Happy birthday! Look behind you.

Availability and storage

These instructions describe the Free mode, where supported PNG and MP4 files are rendered on your device with a Textelling watermark. You can start as a guest; a Free account does not require a paid subscription. Guest and Free video duration is limited to 90 seconds. Paid purchases, voiceover, MultiChat and server rendering are unavailable here.

A local draft stays in this browser profile and this site's storage. Reopening its editor URL in another browser or on another device does not transfer the draft. Clearing site data can remove it. An editor URL is not a public share link. Downloaded media and the editable project are separate: keep the downloaded file before clearing browser data. In the editor’s Project file tab, use Download file to keep a .textelling.json editable backup. Choose file or Paste project JSON validates a backup before you confirm replacement; export your current project first. Offline files do not embed personal images, so keep the original images separately.

If changes disappear, confirm that you reopened the same project in the same browser profile and site origin. If an export is blocked, use the relevant PNG or MP4 guide and read the editor notice. These workflows describe the two supported text presets; they do not verify every platform style or export path.

Privacy in Free mode

Projects and media in the guest export flow are processed on your device. The server receives page and asset requests and export authorization requests; operational logs may include IP addresses and request paths. Instagram receives a request only if you choose its link.
